Carers allowance backdated payment

    Im currently on carers allowance over a month now but I still have not recieved my backdated payments from the last 9 months I've been waiting. Has anybody else had this problem

    It’s not really a problem, it’s procedure. Were you getting another SW payment while you were waiting?

    Carers have to get in touch with your local SW office, find out how much Jobseekers you were paid and deduct that from your arrears.
    That does take time. It takes even longer at this time of the year, as Carers is even more short staffed then usual.
