Hi all, just looking for some advice. Have a two and nearly four year old. The four year old is mad to go camping and do a campfire with marshmallows! Thought glamping would be a happy medium as don't want to start going camping yet with them. And would only do a night. Anyways, any suggestions? Bad idea? Anything not too far from Dublin that would suit?

River Valley in Redcross is decent.

Redcross - which is called River Valley and Hidden Valley in Rathdrum are both good for glamming.

However , neither allow campfires, only bbqs. I think River Valley allow fire pits, there were some the last time I was there 2 years ago.

It’s a great idea for a few days away.

Both places book out quickly in summer, so check their website before promising anything to the kids

River valley is great. They have tree houses for glamping also. We have a caravan there and go down most weekends.
Also have a kids club and movie night.

Fire pits are ideal for roasting marshmallows
