Facebook are having a bad day - images failing to up or download, vids not playing.

I just noticed now watsapp images are failing to send also - anyone else having this?

Yeah, WhatsApp isn't downloading videos or pics for me. Messaging OK though.

Instagram is also experiencing issues.

I would have expected Facebook to have its different products on different infrastructure, for the sake of business continuity.

Instagram and WhatsApp are owned by Facebook. So, if any or all of them are down or flaky, it is likely to be an issue with a central server.

As a result, a lot of the content you are currently seeing on any of your devices is coming from cache. So, new content is probably not going to load properly if at all.

Issues over 5 hours ongoing now. I'd be delighted to see the back of the whole FB platform tbh. Utterly toxic creepy organisation.

Find it interesting that the issue is with images across what used to be 3 separate platforms. They obviously integrated them at some point for reasons unknown. As someone else mention for continuity it would have been better keeping them separate.
