Put photo on Facebook and edit someones identity?

I want to post a picture on a FB page but need to hide the identity of the person in the photo because the background is only what's needed. The image was scanned to word format. When transferred to MS Paint the only option is to use 'Brush' to cover a face with a marker. Any ideas on how to make the person in the photo anonymous without scratching them out with an online magic marker? TIA

Is it a specific object in the background you want, or the background panorama in general? Would it not be easier to crop them out completely?

Copy and paste the background over the person. ie the person is standing beside a tree, copy and paste the tree over the person and you have 2 trees.

    Seamless.

Seen yours too Doddy and almost shat myself with laughter. Meanwhile I'm just trying to post an historical photo online without showing the persons identity in the pic. Any constructive ideas?

There are loads of phone apps that let you blur part of a photo.

Download Gimp. Great tool and you should be able to add layers to hide whatever you need.

You've been given many options for hiding the persons identity. How about you specify how you propose to hide their identity..... i.e. do you want to blur out their face, replace their face with a tree, give them a sex change, change their eye colour etc.?

Thanks for the helpful posts. I'm just doing this on a laptop (not phone) and a quick simple way to blur out face might be an option.

You could use an online tool like facepixelizer.com

Paint is very basic and doesn't have any specialized functions so unless you want to land a blob of colour over their face, cut them out of the picture and have a white person shaped space remaining or paste another image over their face there's not a lot you can reasonably do, ideally you want to use a different software package

There’s an app that will do it automatically for you, it’s called Blue Waffle. It waffles the persons face for privacy. Have a look fo it in Google images.

You could remove someone completely using Photoshop.

Take a screenshot of the picture open in paint, paste into word, do a yahoo search for a black bar, take a screenshot of the bar and paste it over the picture in word, convert from word format to .norm format and open in paint, and save the resulting image as a gif file.

Thanks for the replies. I'm just looking how to make someones pic unidentifiable without having to upload/download more programs or crudely magic-marking out their face.

I'm not sure what else you want people to do for you. You've been told paint is very basic and you don't want to download anything else or upload the image.

    The simplest answer was here:

You aren’t going to be able to do much on Paint other than paste a smiley over their face or simply a black/white blob/square so if you want a half professional style edit then you need Photoshop or some other editing software/programme.

Thanks but that sounds like I'm trying to cover up a criminal. I'm simply trying to make someone unidentifiable in a photograph.

Thanks. Anyone know an easy to use program?

And allow a few months to learn it, the first week will be looking for the menus

Or get Gimp and then install Gimpshop , will save you some time

or put the kettle on , https://www.getpaint.net use the magic lasso thingy, and have a nice cup of tea while admiring your work
