What grade faults are these?

I have been practicing coming up to my test without an instructor to save money and am at a very decent level as my instructor told me.

I done the Naas test route today and made two clear mistakes as far as me or my sponsor could tell.

One time i signalled to turn right before stopping at a traffic light. I didnt notice but my signal switched itself off and i procedded right when the light turned green. Would this be a grade two. I was in a right hand lane which was only for turning right if that makes a difference.

The other was i stopped inside a yellow box junction obstructing maybe a bit over a 1/4 of it? What grade fault would this be?

    Thanks in adavance.

Signal would be a grade 2, you'd only get a grade 3 if you gave the wrong signal.

For the yellow box junction, I'd imagine it would be a grade 3, but I'm open to correction. Considering you were only blocking a small bit of it the tester might give you a grade 2 or let you off.

Again, open to clarification from driving instructors on here.

    Hi,

In the test, the grading of faults should be left completely to the examiner. The test candidate should concentrate totally on not giving him any faults to grade,

A fault is seldom marked in isolation, for example your stopping in a yellow box. How did you end up there ?. You could have been entirely blameless, something could have happened unexpected, completely out of your control or you could have made a serious mistake and lucky (?) to end up with only 25% of the junction blocked.

Also it may not be the actual fault that is graded but how you recover, dealt with it.
