Hotpress pump in place of power showers

    Hi guys ,
I have just moved back to Ireland from UK where I have always had combi boilers and good mains pressure .
My new house in Ireland has the low pressure gravity system of cold water tank in attic , hot water cylinder in hotpress . There are 2 showers upstairs and one downstairs , all of which have individual power shower pumps .
2 of there need replacing , and I am unhappy with the low pressure at the taps , toilets etc . I would prefer for everything to have better pressure so I can have proper mixer taps and thermostatic rain head showers .
I was thinking I could add a large pump to the system in the hotpress , would this work ?
Thanks in advance for your replies .

Adding a pump to the hot & cold in the hot press will work but it would most likely be a big job to isolate the showers from the basins and toilets. If you are happy to pressurise everything then it's a reasonably simple job to install the pump. You can always have the pump on a timer so it will not kick in at 4am if someone flushes the toilet

We have a pump in the hotpress . Don't ask me, but it has no effect on any other supply i.e. sinks etc. downstairs or up. Great pressure Tbar 3 I think. could be wrong but is isolated to the pumped shower in the bathroom.

Sigh.... we only have one bathroom so we are useless!

I live in a dormer and all our water is pumped via a 4 bar pump. Our hot water cylinder is stainless steel not copper something to do with a copper tank would by able to cope with the pressure from the pump.
I'm sure it could done but I would get some plumbers to quote as it may not be that straight forward
