    Hi

Anyone know who might be able to do a detail like this on my gables? Not sure what its called, Barge board or barge board bracing? Looking for something similar in black. Struggling to find anyone to do it. We are in the S/east area.

    Thanks

    Frogeye

its called a roof finial ...

most joinery shops could do something.

House is complete since last year. Whats the issue with these on a new build?

why would you try to make a house thats built in 2018 look like something from the Victorian or Edwardian times?

sounds like an effort at pastiche thats doomed to fail

just my personal opinion though.. i like architecture thats contemporary to actually be contemporary.

If it's executed poorly it's pastiche. If it's executed well it's revivalism. :D
