    Hi guys.
Don't know if anyone could help me in North Kerry.
My local farmer was to spread slurry for me but his tank won't fit in my gate. He was using a 2000 gallon one.

Would there be anyone in the area who could lend/rent me a smaller tank for a few hours.
    TIA.

Would it not be more practical to widen the gap. And cheaper in the long run

It's a gate with 2 pillars. The only option would be to knock one.

The other choice is to make a gate it s field hedge on the road. A tanker Would destroy my veggie garden going through it. This year at least. Add to that the cost of a gate to block the hole.

Ask your neighbour if he knows any farmers that may have one. If that fails spread some artificial fertiliser. At a cost of 20 euro a bag and approx 40 euro hour to spread it may be the best option

I've asked the local contractor if he knows anyone. Buying fertiliser was my other option. The initial offer of free slurry for the field was the preferred choice. Would have reduced my costs and given me a hope of making some money on my second cut.

    To update.
I decided to get a 15 foot gap broken into the hedge and put some paneling across when not in use.

Sorts out my slurry and lime spreading problems for this year.

Be careful making a new gap, it may require planning permission.

I'll be closing it up with a panel fence. Will be open 3 or 4 times a year at most.

I think that would be irrelevant tbh.
