To book 2 Small (15kg) cases is €120.

I plan to book the package holiday with no luggage.

Can i book baggage directly with aer lingus instead?

In order to add a bag yourself, you will need the booking reference and the travel company will not give it to you because that would allow you to see the names of the other people on the booking and what with GDPR etc. etc. ....

Are you sure the travel company is adding on a premium? Checking in a bag is not cheap these days, two 15 kgs bags for a round trip to the Canaries with Aer Lingus costs €200 - €50 per bag per leg. The cheapest rate is €20 per leg which covers UK and near Europe such as Paris and Brussels.

    Where are you travelling to?

    It would be the Canaries.

Guess you've answered my question! :)

For check-in baggage charges, Aer Lingus categorises destinations in Europe as near, mid and far.

UK, northern France (Paris & Rennes) and Brussels are 'near'. The Canaries, southern Italy (south of Rome), Greece, and Croatia are 'far' destinations and cost €50 per 15 kgs bag per leg.
