I'm after finding out I've done irreparable damage to the frame of my beloved Canyon CF SLX. I'm beyond distraught but the best advice has always been to get back on the horse asap.

I have the full groupset (di2) and theres no damage to the wheels so I'm essentially in the market for a di2 compatible frame. The cockpit appears fine so I dont think I even need one of them although I need to check if the Canyon sizing transfers over ok - same with the seatpost.

I'm not overly picky but would like something carbon and relatively fast.

Size wise I'm an XL in the Canyon sizing but had been a 58cm in previous brands - I'm probably on the large size for a 58 so anything between a 58 and a 60 would probably work.

I dont have a massive amount of cash to throw at this hence looking at the second hand market. Canyon have plenty of frames in the factory outlet but I couldnt even afford to open the webpage.

I'm based in Clare but would travel for the right frame.

Has anyone got anything that ticks the boxes?

I think Canyon use proprietary stems and possibly handlebars so unless you buy a canyon frame you won’t be able to swap them onto a new bike.

Canyan have 3 year crash replacement
    Usually €1,200 for the frame

And yes unfortunately the cockpit will only work on a 1 1/4" steerer tube, the vast majority of bikes are 1 1/8
The only good news is that there is usually good demand for the cockpit from people wanting to upgrade their canyon so you should get a good price for it.

I can't recommend it as I've yet to try one but if money was really tight I'd be tempted to try an open mould frame

Some research and €600 should get you something that's of similar quality to what the likes of ribble sell.
