    Hi i have a problem

i recently bought two vehicles from the uk from a auction with no v5c

i applied for Cert of exports but did not know this was not possible anymore,

I have applied for v5c for both enclosed the appropriate fee 25 pounds each,

I have use of a UK address

but now they are saying because they where marked for export i have to Mot both and bring them back to the uk

i was thinking of maybe driving up north to mot both but obviously i will need a northern address

    a) Irish passport
    b) Insurance with Northern address
    c) Phone bill northern address

    D) Mot

this is a nightmare, I normally buy this way and never had any problems with getting the cert of export

    anyone any advice?

    thanks Steven.

Wonder why they have been "marked" as export?
Done a little search online and people are saying they do this to claim the VAT back and then sell them at auction without the v5. Could be tricky trying to get the v5 now. Your only option would probably do like you say and drive up north but have never heard of anyone having to do that. Do you do a hpi check on the Cars before buying at auction? It would have shown up as exported then?(too late I know)

The Van has mot until september so i should be ok with not bringing that up.. The car will have to be brought up as mot just expired

it never shown up as export

they marked it for export when i applied for the cert of export
