Disability allowance payment how it works?

    Hi. I won my appeal for disability allowance. Got a letter just the other day payment will start on the 10th of July. I'm on supplementary at the moment every Thursday. Disability I don't collect for another two weeks. So do I still go to the post office and collect my swa payment until the week of my disability and just stop and collect my disability. Today I got my new public service card also free travel card. I figure I just use this new card for when my disability comes in. So if I still collect supplementary welfare allowance do I just use my normal card at the moment. Not the new one. I worry about stuff like that. They never explain little things like that. I just want to know before I go to the post office again on Thursday. Not getting disability till the 10th of July so do I collect my supplementary payment still with my old card. Thanks for any responses :)

    Use your new card. Just keep going to the PO on Thursday’s as you always did. It’s confusing ok but don’t let it worry you. You’re going to get more on the disability.
    Are you living on your own there?

    Thank you for your reply. I live with my family. I'm just getting disability. So every Thursday just use my new card. I currently get €201 supplementary. I will be getting €203 disability. I probably won't get any arrears cause they have been paying me supplementary while waiting and will deduct that. I might get €50 after a few weeks cause of the extra two euro. So once the date for my first disability payment gets here and I go to the post office there should only be disability there for me. I'm nervous that they won't stop the supplementary and overpay me and then I will have to pay it back. Once the date for my first disability comes will they just cut off the supplementary. I really don't want them to make a mistake and overpay me
