You have taken a photo of the wrong end of the pipes for us to tell if a stand alone pump is suitable. I suggest that you get you plumber to assess the pipework. The photo is too far away for me to to tell if the pipes are coming down from the attic or coming up from the floor. I tried on my pc but I can't zoom in enough.

As it stands right now you can fit a triton as2000xt or a mira vigour & get 14 litres per minute. This is a fairly decent shower.

Monsoon is a pump not a shower. Are you talking about a rain shower head? I have one of these myself on a 3.5 bar pump and you wouldn't describe it as a monsoon. It's supposed to be rain falling on your head & not torrential rain. You get much less pressure from a rain shower head then you will get from a regular shower head. In fact a basic triton or mira power shower will give better from the supplied head then I ever will from my 12 inch rain head

Do you prefer the rain head to say a power head with higher pressure.

Avoid the rain head, its pants. I took mine out, replaced it with a smaller head and now have massive pressure.

The bigger the head, the less pressure or the more powerful pump required. I can drain my hot water cylinder in 10 minutes or less with my 3 bar pump

Appreciate my reply might come across as attitude but to be honest I'm not interested in opinions on the showers and to simplify my question.

I own Dublins largest independent shower repair and installation company. I am over 30 years specialising in only showers. If you don't want expert opinions why not try the DIY forum? Plumbing Forum is where you usually come for professional advice free of charge.

I'm autistic and dyslexic so I hate people pointing out spelling mistakes but you need to go back a read your own posts. They don't make sense.

I won't be offering you any advice with your current attitude.

Great advice available on the DIY forum.

For anyone reading this in the future looking for advice on a pump installation, showing a photo of a hot & cold pipe sticking out of a wall doesn't help a plumber in any way. The plumber needs to see photos of where the water comes from. Taking the hot supply from the wrong place might kill the pump & will void the warranty. Ideally a flange should be installed but there are ways around this. Photos of the correct end of the installation (& a better attitude) will help any future posters:)

I honestly don't have an attitude I just don't suffer fools and their opinions like yourself. I asked a simple question and you went out of your way to tell us all how great your are for some random reason and which to be honest doesn't sound all that great. I also asked a very simple question which despite your incredible amount of proclaimed experience still failed to answer.

To be honest I expected a response just like yours in here
