    Hi All,

I am registered as self - employed and an employee. Just wondering what the situation is regarding applying for Job seekers benefit.

Self employed people normally don't qualify for JSB as you have to have been paying a Class A PRSI contribution and the self employed pay Class S. But you may have been employed elsewhere where you did pay the class A so it depends.

If you don't qualify for JSB you may still be entitled to the means tested Jobseekers Allowance.
