2014 Golf GTD rear brakes - wind out help

    Hello All,

    I need to change the rear break pads in a 2014 golf GTD

    Does anybody know do these just wind back or are they electronic and winding them back will damage the caliber ?

    The parking brake is electronic so you’ll need vagcom/Vcds or whatever

    Yeah, needs ODIS to be rewound properly.

    Have seen it done on other VAG stuff but not a Golf mk7 where the motor is removed off of the back of the piston and the piston would back manually then reconnected and also by putting power directly to the pin outs on the motor to wind it out back and forth.

    Serious scope to make a rather expensive bollocks of things with those methods though if you make a mistake.

    Which is the better method taking the motor out or reversing the current to the motor ?

    Yeah, needs ODIS to be rewound properly.
