Advice for replacement engine please

    Hi All,

    I have a ford transit minibus in need of a new engine.
    The big end is gone and the mechanic who inspected it advised it was not worth repairing and to go for a reconditioned.

    I'm looking for a reputable place to get this work done. As all of the advertisers in Donedeal are cash only , no receipt.

    Ideally I'm looking for a parts guarantee and VAT receipt, failing that , a highly recommended mech to do the work.

    Quotes so far have been around €1,000 to €1,200 for supply and fit.

    Any advice appreciated,
