would MDF be ok to lay on concrete floor or would it absorb moisture from the concrete over time?

I want to build a small storage area in one section of the utilty room and was going to put MDF down on the concrete to base everything off

I get the feeling it would be mush after a few months???

    The area is 8' x 2.5'

    Thanks

    Dont use MDF.

Put down some underlay and put Plywood on top of it or OSB. its a more appropriate flooring material. Besides MDF is expensive.
