I'm taking my 2 children (11 & 13) to somewhere in Europe for 3/4 midweek days at the end of August but can't decide where to go!
I don't want to go to Rome or Barcelona as it'll be too hot... and not Paris as we've been.
I'm thinking maybe Lisbon, Prague, Dubrovnik or somewhere in Switzerland.
It would be good to have something to do for one day such as go on a rail trip somewhere else or go to a theme park.

Amsterdam and go to Efteling! Or Lake Garda and go to Gardaland

Copenhagen. great easy city to get around, much of it on foot. Go for day trip to Legoland, or dau trip on the bridge over to Malmo (book it in advance and take the bus over for best views) and compare the two cities in the one trip.
