Got a letter this morning (well the wife did). Nice surprise as I didn't think we were eligible. Turns out we're just under the threshold.
Will be handy to replace young lads uniform anyways, he went through three pairs of slacks and tracksuit pants this year

    What is the threshold amount?

    Depends on your circumstances.

I applied for it via the MyWelfare portal this morning.
    Very straightforward application process.

    Hi,

Did anyone send a postal application, do you need to send anything with the application ie supporting documents or just the application form?

No don’t send it but they reserve the right to ask you to send proof of income and savings etc at a later date.

What’s the turn around time for online applications ?

    Where?

At the back of the form, it says if you, or your partner are in employment you may be required to include a payslip dated 1st June- 30th sept.
When I phoned as I hadn’t got a letter, they told me to include a payslip as the means test is different for WFP and btscfa

Did anyone that has had to apply hear anything back yet?

DEASP have said that they are only going to start to deal with paper applications when they’ve finished dealing with the online applications.

Oh ok... bit unfair really, I couldn’t apply online as the dept had my phone number wrong for me to set up a my welfare.ie account. And it demanded I go into the intro office to change it, which I can’t do with work. I got a text Tuesday to say they had received my application.

I got a response during the week re: my application.
It was refused as the family income is in excess of the income limits.
Same result with my Household Benefits Package application despite being on Invalidity Pension.

Really quick turnaround for the online application.
Applied the day the online application opened, and heard back within a week.

Not a huge loss as thankfully it's not money I was counting on.
Hope everyone else who applied has better luck and if you are counting on it that it comes thru quickly.

Mine too. Wasn’t expecting it, hadn’t gotten a letter so applied online. Thought it would be a few more weeks at best.

No, nothing. No letter nor acknowledgement that online application had been received.

Mine in the bank today too. Applied online last week. Didn't hear anything back but checked last night online on my gov acc and said awarded. Delighted as didn't qualify last year. Online is definitely the way to go.

It’s soon going to be online applications for most family payments I guess. The paper applications are being left on the long finger. Interesting times ahead.
