    Hi folks. Looking a bit of advice. I've put heifers on a programme before but am a bit hazy on it. The vet put in prids for me last Monday and she wrote out what to do by day but I want to ask about times. So here's what I have;

    Monday - prids in
    Monday (week) - estrumate
    Tuesday - prids out
    Wednesday - receptol
    Thursday - AI

    So the estrumate went in yesterday morning.
    Prids just out
    Receptol going into them tomorrow morning
    Do I AI Thursday morning or afternoon or evening to give them the best chance?

    I used AI on the synced heifers in the afternoon. Most of the AI to synced animals seems to be done in the afternoon round here and I think the fixed time AI is set up for afternoon AI?

    used on a couple of cystic cows ...... both repeated which is not too surprising but at least their system is back in kilter.

    There's a load of protocols. Nearest one to yours suggests 2.5ml Receptal tomorrow (Wed) evening, followed by AI Thursday morning.
