Calculating cost to charge 40kw Leaf in Iceland

    I’m heading to Iceland in Aug and seriously considering hiring a 40kw leaf for the trip. The public charging network around the ring road seems good (fast chargers every 100km or so) and from my initial research, not very busy.

    Charging prices for Chademo (50kw) are 19kr min/ 20 kr kwh. I believe its both charges you pay as the car rentall website mentioned a price of 39kr. Our first day we have 200km planned, 2nd day 150km, 3rd day 270km (i haven’t worked out the distances on thr days after that). Type 2 (22kr) charging is 2kr min/ 20kr kwh.

    Could someone who is familiar with the leaf 40kw version crunch some numbers for me as to what it would cost to charge?

    AFAIK the leaf 40 is 17Kwh/100km. So thats 235km on a charge. Say 200 km per charge and you'll be good to go.
