Enable the hotspot, this will use Wi-Fi - not bluetooth. Then click the network icon next to the time, find your hotspot and connect.

Ive tried wifi already but to no avail. It worked last week. Airplane mode may have something to do with it as when I click on wifi on laptop it greys out then comes back on a minute later.

Press the WIN Key + X to get the Windows Mobility Center open, disable / enable the WiFi from here. Also make sure it's not disable on your computer (laptops such as HP have a button above the keyboard for the wireless). What laptop have you got?

It will have the heading of Wireless Network (see top right of the picture I posted). What is the model of your laptop? Fujitsu laptops usually have a physical switch to enable / disable the wireless - I think you may have disabled it by accident.

its also a windows 7. A lifebook p series. Tried your suggestion. No joy.it shows from top left. Display brightness then mute then battery then no display connected bottom left no sync partnerships then not presenting and thats it. When I click on wifi on taskbar it goes off. Also it says open manually but again no joy.

I think its to do with the flight mode which is the only one of the three to work on taskbar. Hotspot doesnt light up at all.when I opened laptop yesterday it was in flight mode.
