    Hey guys,

Long time listener, first time caller. Basically I have noticed a pattern between the Cold War 80s and nowadays. This is complete crackpot stuff which I think is total pony really but I would be willing to get others views and get pointed to the right direction for more info. I am not saying this is true, but a number of coincidences.

Soooo....the patterns I have noticed are subtle but present. As if society is being geared up for war or for fracture. Things I have noticed.

    1) America taking on China in the East economically and the world being divided up into two blocks again. The rise of the petroyuan and America trying to stop that. Bloc A - West and maybe India versus Russia, China, Iran and Venezuela.

    2) Society being fractured like in the 70s/80s but not in the communism/capitalism but more like leftwing capitalism or rightwing capitalism. It utterly dominates the news in one form or another at the moment.

    3) Various spy scandals. Huawei versus the US, Russian poisonings in the UK etc.

    4) Politically the US, Britain and the EU in turmoil like during the 70s/80s.

    5) The rise of feminism similar to it's rise during the cold war. Ensuring that women provide the same income for an economy via work and taxes as men do.

    6) Other social issues - the rise of hooliganism in football etc. Again, similar toin the 80s.

    7) The astroturfing of things in the media to get people angry and turn people against each other.

So tell me I am a loony! Any views or opinions folks?

    8) An ideological war. Nobody seems to be 'at rest' at the moment.

You may find yourself living in a shotgun shack
And you may find yourself in another part of the world
And you may find yourself behind the wheel of a large automobile
You may find yourself in a beautiful house, with a beautiful wife
You may ask yourself, "Well, how did I get here?"
Letting the days go by, let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by, water flowing underground
Into the blue again, after the money's gone
Once in a lifetime, water flowing underground
And you may ask yourself, "How do I work this?"
And you may ask yourself, "Where is that large automobile?"
And you may tell yourself, "This is not my beautiful house"
And you may tell yourself, "This is not my beautiful wife"
Letting the days go by, let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by, water flowing underground
Into the blue again, after the money's gone
Once in a lifetime, water flowing underground
Same as it ever was, same as it ever was, same as it ever was
Same as it ever was, same as it ever was, same as it ever was
Same as it ever was, same as it ever was
    Water dissolving and water removing
There is water at the bottom of the ocean
Under the water, carry the water
Remove the water from the bottom of the ocean
    Water dissolving and water removing
Letting the days go by, let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by, water flowing underground
Into the blue again, into the silent water
Under the rocks and stones, there is water underground
Letting the days go by, let the water hold me down
Leting the days go by, water flowing underground
Into the blue again, after the money's gone
Once in a lifetime, water flowing underground
You may ask yourself, "What is that beautiful house?"
You may ask yourself, "Where does that highway go to?"
You may ask yourself, "Am I right, am I wrong?"
You may say to yourself, "My God! What have I done?"
Letting the days go by, let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by, water flowing underground
Into the blue again, into the silent water
Under the rocks and stones, there is water underground
Letting the days go by, let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by, water flowing underground
Into the blue again, after the money's gone
Once in a lifetime, water flowing underground
Same as it ever was, same as it ever was
Same as it ever was, look where my hand was
Time isn't holding up, time isn't after us
Same as it ever was, same as it ever was
Same as it ever was, same as it ever was
Same as it ever was, same as it ever was
Same as it ever was, hey let's all twist our thumbs
    Here comes the twister
    Letting the days go by
    Letting the days go by
    Once in a lifetime
Let the water hold me down
    Letting the days go by
