Smart TV's what is the difference Samsung UE43NU7020 & Samsung UE43NU7400

Hi Lads,

I need to replace our TV. 

Question 1.
I was having a look at your site and I saw the same name ([font=Montserrat, sans-serif]43 inch 4K Ultra HD HDR Smart LED TV TV Plus) [/font]just different models numbers and was just wondering what is the difference? Is it a newer model or better features for an extra €50?

Question 2.
We have a 32" Samsung Smart TV which was fine. My other half is not a fan of big TV's so just wondering what is the smallest quality smart TV's you would recommend? I could try and get her to go to 40" (43" might be too much of an ask!) if there is a big difference in quality / spec?

Budget is €350 - €400 all in.

Also, are you still doing deals for your lovely boards.ie customers :-)

The main difference between the 7020 and the 7400 is the 7440 is a 10 Bit (8bit+2FRC) panel where as the 7020 is only standard 8Bit.
The stand is also different on the 7400 range.
Both are the 2018 models are are coming to the end of their run as the NEW RU range for 2019 is already out.

The smallest Samsung we would offer would be the 43".
I don't think Samsung are making a 40" this year unfortunately.

Panasonic will have their 40GX800 but it coming in at £699

At the moment the only 40" would be a Sharp priced at £269

There are a few I'd look at.

The first is the Samsung UE43NU7020 at 349 euro:

Next up would be the LG 43UK6400 at 369 euro:

However my personal pick would be the Philips 43PUS6703. You would need to extend the budget a little at 449 euro but it has the best panel on a 43" TV as it uses micro dimming as opposed to an edge light:
