Is the world becoming hostile to those who want to change career?

Even jobs that were once considered simple have large regulatory requirements now. Endless amounts of licenses and certs that expire after a few years and courses that only run certain times of the year.

When you have all the certs lined up you can still be left forever like a hyper Jack Russel jumping up a disinterested person's leg looking for a job because you have no experience. Is there anything that is easy to get into these days besides customer service jobs? In the good ole days a lad used to march down to the local creamery at 16 and stay there till retirement. Now the creamery won't have him without a masters in process engineering and 5 years experience in another creamery

In my experience "the world" is becoming less hostile to career changes.

However people just need to be realistic when moving careers.
