It means you’ll have to turn your head when parking.

it means "time to wash your car"

First thing I would do is clean all the sensors and see if that fixes it, heavy dirt can play tricks with parking sensors. After that the next thing is to check which sensor is causing the issue. Get somebody to stand directly in front of each sensor to see if it triggers the park distance control on the screen.

It means the sensors aren't working, and it could be for any number of reasons:
You might have them turned off.
The car could be filthy and it's giving readings that it can't understand
Sensors could be physically damaged, eg after a collision.
Water could be in some/all of the sensors
    Cables could be damaged/broken
    ECU issue

There only way to find out what the exact error is, is to have it plugged in with the correct scanner for that make and model of car.

Considering its in the forward facing zone with the warning I'd be checking that sensor. Could be damaged by someone else's stupidity.

I think that's the generic warning, not just front. Warning sign in the middle and refer to manual sign on the left of the screen if I read it correctly.

    (this place never changes)

OP, had this happen last week on my A6. Turned out one of the front sensors had died. If you can't narrow down which one is at fault you'll need to bring it in to be scanned I'd say.

There is a trick to engage reverse and listen for noise from each one separately, but when I tried it I couldn't hear a thing, yet when scanned on diagnostic only two were showing as faulty.

I think it might depend on the car brand etc.

Needless to say the diagnostic did say rear sensor 2 and 4 so still don't know which ones are faulty anyway :)

Could you use the manual method and put your hand in front of each in turn?

i wonder if they all cease to work if a fault is indicated. Are they actually working at all OP?

Just to clarify I am not op, just listing my own experience. Yellow warning is annoying me, but not enough to take off the bumper and fix it.
