Where would you put the couch? The TV? Would you build shelving?

How would you layout your furniture in a room like this?

Are your external walls 130mm? Or is the room and door massive?

No. Blank canvas. No alcove units or chimney breast. Underfloor heating so lots of wall space, but also lots of windows which is creating the headache as to where to place furniture.

The plugs and tv connections are in the top right corner as you look at the image, and more connections in bottom left corner as you look at the image. It's a rough sketch, not really to scale. Just looking for general ideas as to how you'd arrange the furniture.

    Room is 4.5m by 5.5m.

Our room is somewhat similar in dimensions
Using the orientation in the pic (1 window left, two windows bottom, door top)

We have the TV on the right hand wall.
We have a line of cabinets on the top wall which loops around under the TV.
We have an L shaped couch that goes along the bottom wall and the L part sticks into the middle of the room between where your two windows are.

The area behind the couch is a bit of a dumping ground at the moment but long term it'll hopefully be a play area/homework area/work out area or for other hobbies depending on what they turn out to be.

    No, just a rough sketch.

Just looking for general ideas. Measurements and scale can come after.

Its my daughter's. I was thinking of recommending building some alcove units on the longer wall as a focal point. And then putting a right handed L shaped couch against the shorter wall. Rug and coffee table in front of that couch.

My wife says that cuts off space and you'd constantly be walking around the couch. But I say it allows traffic. Also maximises views or light from both windows.

Daughter herself is in a tizzy!
