Nothing major going on today from me. As well as a small bet in the oaks from earlier in the week have done Borodin in the 10f Handicap at about 9/1.

Are we blaming Ryan Moore for that?

You can be guaranteed they will. I'd be a defender of him myself. In hindsight he probably hit the front slightly too soon. But watching the race in real-time couldn't see a problem with it. Thought it was a pretty good ride myself. So not much you can do. He beat the rest by 3+ lengths.

Coincidentally he was done at 1.01.

It's harsh enough to say he went too soon really. Horse is a proven stayer and he beat the rest out of sight.

Thought he was less than forceful coming up to the line and the horse didn't like the track. Maybe the horse has a bigger target and they were kind to him, which seems daft because a Coronation Cup win over 12f would have been a good feather in the cap for his stallion career.

Kew Gardens looks more like an Ascot Gold Cup horse than a King George-Arc horse, but they seem determined to plod on with him over 12f.

I thought it was a perfectly OK ride, he had his two main rivals well beat and the way the race had panned out you'd assume did not expect something to be coming to nab him once he hit the front. As mentioned above, the horse did not look to be fully at ease with camber of track in last furlong or so but not sure what Moore could've done too differently.

That feeling when your place only bet goes and wins :(

Moore obviously thought nothing wrong with the key gardens ride as he rode the same race there.
I'm a Moore fan but for me coming from off the pace and hitting the front before a furlong out is too soon.
    No cash on either btw

Seriously though that was a proper ride from Frankie, manoeuvred the filly beautifully onto the rail early, fought for the gap at the top of the straight - if he'd sat for 3 strides longer his chance was probably gone, then onto the rail to help towards the finish. Strength too in that finish. Not bad for a 48 year old. Actually I think he's getting better with age if anything

Out having a few pints for a couple of hours before meeting mates. Have had two silly bets and no winner. Anyone got anything for this evening. Gonna be betting while drinking so might as well have a shout. Thinking whelans way or production in the 7pm.

Having a small nibble EW on Abraham in the next at Tramore. Local trainer with Flanaghan jocked up. Fit from the flat i would think.....20-1
