Hi all. I'm wondering if I plant a Wisteria in to the same large pot that my Japanese Maple is in, would the roots of one strangle the other?
Looking forward to your thoughts. 😊 C

They would certainly be overcrowded. If you start to dig into the Maple pot you will probably find it is full of roots anyway. Wisteria makes massive roots, I wouldn't even put it in a pot on its own, never mind a shared pot.

Edit - Wisteria is beautiful, but it is a long term investment. It could take years to flower, they are the kind of plant that will look good (if it is happy) in 40 or 50 years time.
