    Hi all,

Quick Q, had a bit of a scrape happen this evening, won't go into too much details but wasn't my fault. Before I go to the garages would any of you fine people be able to judge roughly how much I might expect to be told? From what I can tell from my limited knowledge it seems to have gone through the paint/underlayer.

    TIA

That looks like the whole bumper will need to be done, as you can see the black plastic. I got mine done for €300.

Yeah, I agree that it looks like you need a full bumper respray. I have a little better news than Del above, I got that done for €250 a few months ago

You could just a cuting compound to rub out the white marks with a soft cloth.

And touch up the black plastic bit with touch up paint

    It's a fairly innocuous location.

Or spend the money and get it sprayed and blended in

Someone else is paying so unless they are family or friends then there is no reason to do it cheap.

That looks to have cut into the paintwork so if so it's very unlikely a compound will rub it out.

Also looks like its caught the rear 1/4 so that will need paint and blending in

Just an update on this, went through his insurance (who found him at fault) as he got angry and threatening on the phone when trying to see what way we were going to proceed. All work done through his insurance's nominated repair centre.. total including labour being just shy of €740. The joys of having a dash cam ey :)
