Any suggestions for the best way to get it off properly.

I try to get the cover on as much as possible but its not really practical to do every time I come and go during the day. The driveway seems to be on the flight path for a load of birds and its getting **** on the whole time.

    Much appreciated.

Get a strip of toilet tissue and soak it in water, leave it on top of the crap for a minute to soften it up. Remove as much as possible with it and then remove any residue with a cloth.
