    Any recommendations?

Thinking of a 2015/2016 Mazda 6 or Ford Mondeo.

No real preference if its Diesel or Petrol but my commute is only 12k each way so maybe petrol is a better choice?

That's not a show stopper, I was just saying petrol maybe better because of my short commute

Not just that, the mazda are significantly more reliable in petrol

You need to stretch your budget a little, no 15 or 16 petrol Mondeo or mazda 6 on done deal for 15k but five a few grand above

Skoda octavia petrol is an option, with good resale value.

Not mad on the looks of the Octavias, the VRS looks good but that's outside my budget.

Doesn't have to be petrol lads, happily take a diesel

The Octavia is from the segment below the Mazda6/Mondeo.

Mazda doesn't have a great reputation making their own diesel engines so that would rule out a diesel 6 for me. If going Mondeo then 2.0 litre is much better than the 1.6/1.5 litre.

Lexus IS300h might an option too if your are open to importing from the UK. The VRT is low on them due to the hybrid VRT rebate.

The Lexus is a lovely car but look to be over 20k for 2015+
