Audit A4 or Volkswagen CC

    Hi

I am looking to buy either an Audi A4 or Volkswagen CC, 4-6ish years old, somewhere around 80,000-100,000 kilometres and around €13,000 - €15,000

I'm hearing from some people that the Audi isn't reliable and from others that the Volkswagen isn't either, and the opposite from more people so not sure what to do.

I will be doing around 40,000K per year with work so reliability and low maintenance costs is vital for me!

    Any advise would be great...

    Thanks

Both being from the VAG group so they share a good bit of DNA so reliability is very similar and average.

I have no personal experience of the A4 but I did own a Passat CC for 2 years. The CC is more spacious in the inside than the A4, the boot on the CC is also deeper though access is restricted due to it not being a hatchback. However as the CC is a 4 door coupe the car sits much lower than the A4 and the CC's roof line is much more sleeker making headroom tight if your are over 6 foot. Biggest problem on those like most modern diesels will be worn clutch or flywheel. Depending on the year and engine variant they may also have had the VW diesel gate software update done which some owners complained about less fuel economy and slightly less power than before.

I had a 2012 A4 s-line for two years and apart from the usual servicing the only things i had to change was a wheel bearing. Not the most exciting car to drive though but overall they are a very good car.

Then in late february i sold it and imported a 152 CC R-line DSG and i absolutely love it. Nicer to drive than the A4. The boot is massive and its very spacious. The only drawback is that visibility out the back window isnt great because of the sloping roof.

Only advice I can say is I'd be expecting a company car for that mileage, unless you're being exceptionally well compensated for using your own car.

Sorry, I ment that the 40-50k will be me getting to and from work, plus personal use at weekends etc.
