    Hi
Every time I log into my credit card account online I have to confirm my email and opt back in to paper statements.
Is this necessary? Can these not be accepted as the options I want & the onus put on me to change that ?

Thank you for your patience KoolKid,

Our Card Services team have confirmed that you should only be asked to confirm the information once. If this is happening every time you log in we recommend clearing your browser history and clearing your cookies.

Please let us know if this resolved the issue.

    Thanks,

    Lorna

    Hi Lorna

Done the above. It has stopped asking about paper statements but still asking me to confirm email address every time. An unnecessary step IMO.

    Hi KoolKid,

Thanks for getting back to us. It definitely shouldn't be asking you to keep confirming your email address. Can we ask, since clearing history and cookies have you been requested more than once to confirm your email?

    Thanks
    Tara

    Hi KoolKid,

Our credit card team have asked if you could give them a call on 1890251251 or 0567757747 when you have access to your device as this should not be happening and they would like to investigate further.

    Thanks
    Tara

    Hi

Just spoke to Caroline in Card services on the number you provided,
They are saying that this is a necessary step and cant be removed.
    Which is it?
I am baffled as to why any institution would require email verification on every login.
PS I have tried this on a both Chrome & IE .

If you can PM us your contact number we will arrange for a credit card specialist to call you to look into this in more detail.

    Thanks.
