Cannot collect Jobseekers Benefit this week? What do?

    So I'm in America at the moment helping to settle a relatives estate. Unfortunately the process is taking longer than usual and have had to extend my trip a week. I am wondering.

    If I cannot collect this week will they just bin my weekly payment (as this was my original return week) or both my weekly payment and 2 weeks holiday entitlement?

    Ill be returning on the 26th for any reference needed. Who should/can I contact regarding this? Local intreo center I take it?

    Local intreo centre to advise of how long you are out of the country, make sure to let them know asap so they can hold your 2 weeks holiday entitlement payment for you that you can collect upon your return.


    My boyfriend did the same, heading off on holidays and they said they will hold it for the 2 weeks.
