    My illness benefit runs out this week. I’m waiting on an appeal and review for invalidity. I got a letter to say I’ve to go in for a medical review for my illness benefit next week. Will this count towards my invalidity claim? I can’t really see the point of it if it doesn’t as my IB will have ran out by the time I go in.

    Did you have any previous medical review? Or the INV2 form sent out to you for Illness Benefit?

    If you haven't had the INV2 form sent out, you can use the INV1 to apply for Invalidity pension but will need to supply the medical evidence and so on to support the application.

    If your Illness benefit expires before a decision you will need to apply to your local CWO for SWA and complete the means test I think.
