Connect every day I'd say. Much nicer interior. Rented a Berlingo recently, nothing really wrong with it, but seems the interior is lowish quality and was quite sluggish.

Connect is superior in nearly every way. The middle seat might be bigger in the Berlingo but the Ford is quieter, more powerful, more modern, better laid out and more comfortable.

The phone/multimedia in the Ford is way ahead of what’s on the Berlingo too

The cabin in the Berlingo is a joke, ergonomics very bad. For example the cup holders are two small recesses in the floor, there are a few round holes in the dash for phones etc but nothing really fits.

Those cup holders are dangerous. Noticed that the minute I got into the rented one. I reckon the load area of the connect is probably longer too

Ya the berlingo is very old fashioned that's the older models anyway new models are pretty nice but I not paying out all that for newer model lol . Ya the only down fall with the connect I domt like is the middle seat it is pretty small and I carry 2 ppl quite often another thing I dont like is the ride height is really low almost car like other that there one of the nicest Van's on the road

Those vans aren’t NCAP tested so keep that in mind. I wouldn’t like to be a middle seat passenger in a crash. Certainly in the berlingo your knees are right up against the transmission.
There’s a lot of penny pinching in small vans. Passenger airbags are often not standard, side airbags are rare. It’s still people in them regardless but safety in vans is not taken seriously even though they do more mileage than cars.

Consider a van from a class up if you’re regularly carrying two passengers.

Berlingo/Peugeot partner or a caddy if you're buying purely for reliability. Connects are hard on tires and diesel. The shine has gone off those connects.

I’ve been looking at similar vans but as advice above I’m now looking at dispatch or proace.

Ya I agree theres terrible saftey when it comes to cans and that's true they are on the road way more than cars

A buddy of mine had a 171 connect put a 120km on it in a year and bit not one problem did he have besides regular wear and tear like brakes tyres etc . The connects are far better in every way it's just the cabin area is a little tight . The caddy and berlingo/partner are very bland for what you pay for them you have to add a little extra to get he high spec models with touch screen and sensors and stuff they come with nothing at all as standard

I only ever seen him get the front tyres changed once and that was it I never really asked him about fuel consumption on it but he was a hard driver even in towns he used to hammer it because it was a company van giving to him and he had a dci fuel card so I dont think he cared about fuel consumption to be honest

Did he replace the van at 120km

He changed jobs so he had to hand the van back to the company I dont know where the van went after that I'm assuming the company gave it back as it was leased or they kept it for another worker

The berlingos and partners are lovely Van's but it's very hard to get a high spec model theres one high spec model I have eyed up but its travelling up country to look at it I have traveled far before to look at cars and they where complete ****e the connect is only 15 minutes from me

With those vans hp would they be the base models?

They really come with nothing on them.

At least the trend models are a bit better specced.

These are the Van's I was thinking of buying the partner has higher spec but the connect is over all nicer. One thing that puts me off is the adblue on the partner at 55k miles could be risky..

Is that a bit sharp ?
Just looking at my 09 Tiguan AWD amd it did 820km for 61 litres.

From lads with the berlingo they seem to return decent mileage.

It's a mix mainly national routes within speed limits, as the van has a speed monitoring system which is reviewed monthly. The van is carrying max 70kg cargo (Service tools).
