    2004 Corolla 1.4 petrol hatchback

NCT Guy says that it's a failure on front pads below minimum - very hard to see on this model with steel wheels without taking the wheels off, but possible, just about.

NCT Guy also says that rear pads are close to minimum and should be replaced - he f*cking put this down as a failure point too even though it's pretty much impossible to view the rear pad thickness on this car with steel wheels.

I replaced the front pads. They were all over 2mm. Toyota say the minimum is 1mm. Meh.

I replaced the rear pads (after Micks Garage fcuked up and sold me the wrong ones, twats.) They were barely f*cking worn. 5-6 mm on each one. Dickhead.

I reckon this dickhead took a look at the front pads, decided it was halfway to a falure so why not up his quota, and added the rest in without as much as a by your leave.

    What a cnut.

NB one brake pad on each wheel has a steel wear indicator thing that creates an awful noise when pads are actually worn down to the limit - none of them were near this.

In Cavan there was a great fire / Judge McCarthy was sent to inquire / It would be a shame / If the nuns were to blame / So it had to be caused by a wire.

You should probably buy a new car. Yours doesn't sound safe

Pads down to 2mm... Enough said. Anti rattle shims aren't supposed to be used as wear indicators. How did it perform on the brake test?

He's not talking about the anti rattle shims, he's talking about the wear indicator.

You're some joker. 45000 miles on this car from new. Sails through the NCT every year until now.

Don't understand why you would not just get the work done?

Did you think you'd get traction in this forum by being a dick about NCT staff?
