This thing was also onto the same bolt as horn and I'm wondering if it has anything to do with wiring the horn and what it is. Thanks again

Try this , Bring a live feed from the battery , or the positive terminal, to the push on terminal on the horn . Bring another wire from the battery negative terminal and flash it on the body of the horn .

Air filter restriction/blockage switch. Usually located on the rubber hose between air filter and inlet manifold but this type may have had a short piece of micro bore hose going to a connection on the hose between air filter housing and inlet manifold. 2 wires on it which light up a symbol on the dash when filter is blocked / restricted. Round circle usually with a few dots and a large arrow pointing downwards.

As for the horn, easiest way to test is take a live feed to one of the terminals, take a piece of wire and put it to the other terminal and strike it off the battery negative or chassis of the tractor and it should sound.

To wire it in, you wouldn’t really need a relay with this type. Take an in line fuse holder with a 7.5A or 10A fuse, put power into one side of it from a free terminal on ignition switch or battery, feed the other side to a push button on the dash or wherever, then out of the push button to one terminal of the horn. Other terminal of the horn then to ground.

Wiring could already be possibly there, depending on what tractor it is.

Thanks for your reply. That was also my other problem as the air filter light is on, on the dash. The wire must be grounding somewhere as there is no wire going to that switch in picure. And the light flickers and is intermittently going on and off. I will check the horn as soon as I can , and also try find the wire that's grounding for the air filter light. There's no wires there for the horn (that I know of) I'll have to take bonnet off anyways to wire it and I might even find the original wiring . I'll rewire it anyways as old wires mightent be the best . Thanks again .

Throw it in the hedge, get a new one, if it’s not working nothing can be done about it. Local motor factors or tractor supplies shop should have one, they’re cheap anyway.

Connect it up again and whack it with a spanner, sometimes this can bring a horn back to life.
