Recommendations for a diagnostic tool

    Looking to purchase a diagnostic tool which would allow diagnostics of a number of vehicles and also basic maintenance tasks such as for control of electric handbrake, resetting codes, faults, etc.

    Currently for a range of vehicles from a Citroen Xsara, Nissan quashqui and a 2yo Golf.

    Any recommendations in the sub £500 range? Definitely need the Xsara covered as it needs checked out.

    That read the Xsara codes?

    £180 seems reasonable price. Do you get lifetime updates with it or do you have to pay for them?
