Hi, I have a 2007 Ford Focus and need to install a connection to let me connect lights for a trailer light board...
I’ve been told about kits that enable you to just unclip the connectors on the back lights and slot in an adapter... no soldering or cutting etc...
Can anyone recommend me or link me to one? Can’t seem to find one.
    It’s for a 2007 Ford Focus saloon.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Never heard of one.

Really there are 2x options for wiring a trailer socket, tap into each supply wire separately (if non-multiplex) or a little relay box that you need to supply a separate 12V power cable to, but you still have to tap into each lamp wire separate

There is a wiring loom that plugs in can't find it atm but when I was looking it was expensive over €100 so I did what you suggest but I know there are a lot of new cars you can't just tap into the wires.

https://www.carid.com/ might have what you are looking for.

I used the above relay when wiring my trailer lights. Was easy enough to figure out which wires to splice for the bulbs. Avoid the quick splice connectors as they cut into the wiring cutting strands in the process. An aftermarket harness is the way to go though and the website above have ones with relay boxes so they should only require a power source.

One here, whilst these guys list different numbers for the hatchback and estate, might be worth dropping them a line and asking if it suits a saloon or not. Supplied from the UK too and dedicated fit meaning should go straight in with minimalist modifications to wiring.

    https://www.pfjones.co.uk/ford-focus-ii-11-04-01-08-7-pin-pf-jones-dedicated-wiring-kit-19060507pf.html

Instructions for the hatchback kit here https://www.pfjones.co.uk/pfjoneswiringkits/19060507PF_Ford_Focus_Hatchback_04-08_7PIN_PF_Jones_Towbar_Electrics.pdf

Whilst not exactly for your saloon, it might give you ideas where to look or put you in right direction.

Ring any of the towbar fitting people and they will sort you out. I got my towbar fitted by McCabes and they had a dedicated wiring harness for my car, towbar was wired in about 20mins and no hacking of the wiring etc.

    Cheers for the reply’s!
I contacted ford just out of interest to get a price and they quoted me near 400€....!
What can I expect to pay to get it wired up in my local garage? It’s just so I can have a light board on a bike rack the odd weekend...

Thanks for the links I’m going to have a look through them now.

For a hassle free plug and play job, should be about 100-120 ish if they do a kit for your car.

Otherwise, buy a kit like this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/AB-Tools-Towbar-Electrics-Trailer/dp/B07PFX4Z6Y/ref=sr_1_4?crid=DICI53IKRHRK&keywords=trailer+light+wiring+kit&qid=1558614129&s=gateway&sprefix=trailer+light+wiri%2Caps%2C120&sr=8-4

They're really easy fit and you'd do it yourself in an hour..
