Would anybody be able to provide details of the specs / options for both the 2008 Gen II Prius as sold in Ireland & also the 2010 Gen III Prius as sold in Ireland?

Trying to gauge the difference between the Irish spec Prius from this era vs the equivalent UK specs.
Was there more than one spec level in Ireland?
Was there an equivalent of Terra / Luna / Sol or T3/T4/T Spirit?

    Thanks in advance

If I remember correctly, Irish spec'd Prius's came in two versions - Prius and Prius Luxury; while the UK had four - T2, T3, T4 and T-Spirit. The T2 however was withdrawn and never sold.

    I've had the T4 and T-Spirit version of a Gen 3, and a Luxury and a T-Spirit version of the Gen 2.

Very few T3's were ever sold, it was mostly T4s and Spirits. T3 spec is what you would normally find in a Japanese import version from my understanding - very basic.

The Prius Luxury (Irish) is equivelent to the T4 (UK) roughly speeking.

Without trying to quote the whole spec sheets for the different versions, is there something specific you want to know?

    Just go for the T-Spirit.

I have the brochure for the post-2012 facelift Irish spec but not before that. The "Luxury" was slightly worse than UK T4, e.g. worse stereo (no JBL amp). Don't know about pre-facelift or Gen 2.

Thanks for the replies- useful to know that the higher Irish spec roughly equivalent to T4 UK.

Query relates to the extras that might be included on each model:
    - hands-free / steering wheel controls for radio / phone
    - reverse camera
    - parking sensors
    - wheel size

Am guessing none of these would be on the standard Prius but some might be on the Prius Luxury

Also did some of the Irish spec cars have something that reflects km/h onto the windscreen?

Out of the 4 cars you've had what would your preferred choice be?

Is the Gen 3 worth extra money over a Gen 2?

    Thanks again

Not sure about pre-2012, but the Irish spec Gen 3's have the head-up display (HUD), and I think all UK spec have them too. I have a 2012 Prius Plug-in (UK spec, they didn't sell them in Ireland), the spec is different from others again (similar to T4 but not the same), and the HUD is one of the most useful features of the car.

The Gen 3 has much better ride and handling, performance and efficiency, and the interior is a lot better. And it's less ugly :)

As Soarer said, just go for a T-Spirit.
    Gen 2 is 1.5 engine, Gen 3 is a 1.8.
T-Spirit specs in a Gen 2 guise or a Gen 3 is virtually identical. The only difference is the body shape and more sensors for the self parking on the Gen 3.
Hands free radio/phone is standard on Gen 3 T4 and Spirit.
Gen 2 Luxury does not have Bluetooth, but radio controls are on the wheel.
Reversing camera uses the sat-nav screen, T-Spirit only either version.
Parking sensors were an optional extra on the T4/T3, and were not fitted on a T-Spirit as it has the back camera.
    Wheel size Gen 2 - 16", Gen 3 - 17".
All models should have a spacesaver spare (Gen 4's have a tyre repair kit)

I wouldn't say the Gen 3 is 'better' than the Gen 2, but there was some improvement in mpg, comfort, etc, and looks better.
