    Hi Guys,

Thinking of getting an F-Pace so was wondering if anybody has owned one and if they were happy with it?

Any recommendations of where to buy and should I try and negotiate the list price lower or are the dealers budging on it?

    Thanks
    B

A friend has one. He bought it new. I talked to him just before he bought and he just always wanted a brand new jag.

He loves it, beautiful inside. Lovely to drive. Only small issue, he had moved from a merc, no idea what model it was but he says it drinks diesel compared to the Merc. Now it is to be expected because it is crossover etc that it is harder on fuel but he says compared to Qashqai(his wife has one) it is in a different class...

No idea what sort of ltr/100km. He is city based and all city driving which doesn't help. I would say maybe once a month it might get out of Dublin city.

That said, he loves it, would just prefer not to have to fill it so often:P

I meant in terms of fuel usage......the qashqai is a crossover as well but a lot easier on diesel

Interestingly the Qashqai weights 150kg more than the F-Pace. I wonder if your friend’s is the legacy 2.2 or newer 2.0 diesel and whether there has been any improvement.

Had a look at them when they launched and thought the interiors were extremely ropey for the price; tied in with what I heard about Jag cutting costs on fit and finish at that time (same issues with the XE). Sat in fully equipped Portfolio after and it was much nicer. Do like the look of them.

A pal of mine in Brussels has one for the last year and /I've been in it a good few times.

Nice to drive he says and he has the 3.0 which has lots of power. However, I noticed the lower you look on the dash \ doors etc. the less premium it looks. Not a patch on an Audi Q5 or BMW X5, just not that final finish you would expect for the money Jag are asking, (over here at least).

Still at those price points, buy what you want, it's a very personal choice..
