    Hello all,

I started the car yesterday c4 grand Picasso 2014. Up popped multiple faults. Abs, handbrake, esp, Tyre under inflation, seatbelt airbag etc etc. Any ideas where to start before I have a mechanic look at it?

    Check the battery.

What him say. Like Jaaags, you can't beat a Citrëen for going completely Borley Rectory when the battery is getting tired and the voltage drops.

So im getting 12.5V and 14.6 whilst the engine is running. I have checked the fuses in the box to the right of the battery and all seem fine. I have not checked the fuses in the glove compartment. Its a very tight area. Is it worth checking these fuses?

I disconnected he battery for half an hour and then reconnected it. The car started fine with no errors. So does this point to a failing battery as suggested?

It depends, but if battery is 4+ years it may be time to invest in a fresh one anyway.

Check also that there is a good chassis earth. If there is corrosion then you will get a voltage drop and on some cars all sorts of random errors.

So I finally got around to changing the battery. Faults are still showing. I tried leaving the positive off for an hour to see if the faults would clear and they did not.

I didnt see the exact location of the earth connection but the general area looks dry/clean.

I picked up the Aldi OB2 fault code reader last week is it does not find any faults.

The first time I noticed the issue it was just the seat belt/bag pretension fault showed up on the dash. Then a few weeks later the other faults started to appear. I don't think they are actual faults because for example the handbrake shows as faulty but it works fine.

Any more suggestions before I have it looked at at a garage?

If the OB2 is functional its possible there are no faults, just your dash is faulty.

But the faults come on when the car is started and they all beep. as if they are actual faults been detected.
