Need a big estate/jeep by June 15....

Heading away for a holiday on June 15th, myself the missus, two big dogs and 2 bicycles, so need to pick up something up to that task.

Looking for an estate or jeep, estate would be preferable, ideally with leather, cruise control, tow bar and roof rack.
Thinking diesel, 2ltr max, nct'ed obviously and some tax would be nice.

As cheap as possible, preferably in sub 2k bracket but would stretch a bit more for the right car.

    Help me find it!

Do you need a bike rack too or do you want to put the bikes in the car?

Bikes will go on a bike rack on the towbar is the plan.
    Dogs in the boot.

Ignoring the 2 litre bit this would do the job lovely, plenty of tax to do you while away too

As an Evertonian, I could never drive a red car or own a red anything! haha
    Or give Fine Gael 1080!
Nice bus tho, a shame they dont do them with smaller engine, but then I doubt they had Irish motor tax in mind when making them.

Thats a weird one, husband was selling it a while back for 2600, then ad dissappeared and back up by the wife for 2200, was gone again over last few days and back again now.
I contacted her and something about it doesnt sit right.

As far as I remember they had another silver one for sale a few months ago too. Lovely looking example above but location probably isn't helping.

Have you got anything in mind? Personally I think your best bet is an A6 (broken record, I know :pac:) because they have acres of space in the back which will be good for two dogs on the long haul. Stuff like 3 series' and A4s have very little room in reality.

I have a nice e270 cdi at the minute, tested and all, but alas tis a 2.7..

A6 would be great, theres a nice one in gorey but not leather and with dog hair I think another cloth interior would drive me to drink. It doesnt have towbar either so would have to go looking for that and getting it fitted. It doesnt have cruise but can live without that for the timebeing if needed. Prefer the idea of the 1.9 given its reputation for reliability and good economy.

I'll have a 2007 estate 1.9 TDI Passat up for sale in next 2 weeks. Has leather, cruise control, towbar. Will be looking for 2 for it if you haven't found anything by then

Certainly consider it if I havent found anything.
    Nct/tax? Service history?
Pm me some info if you dont mind.
Not a big fan of the look of those but I'm getting to the stage where being fussy doesnt help.

Have you any interest in a diesel X Trail 4x4?

Wouldn't entirely rule it out. Are they a hoor on diesel?

Know of a nice 05 one with a years test, tow bar and nice leather etc for around a grand if it’s any use to you. Switchable 2/4wd, wouldn’t imagine they’d be sore on juice tbh
