    Hey,

Without getting into too much detail I entered a like and share contest a few months ago and won. There was no terms or anything attached to the contesr as it small franchise, there was a video announcement and I was contacted as the winner. My detail were taken and was told my prize would be deliver. 5 weeks went by and i contacted them and they said it was delay from an international supplier, fair enough. Another 5 weeks went by and I contacted them, they read my message but didn't reply,I tried again and again no reply.

Based on this I left a negative review on their Facebook page, an owner replied saying it was delay in their supplier that I was advised about (after 5 weeks and still 5 weeks later with no contact) and that based on this review they will rerun the contest and give the prize to someone else.

Is there any recourse with things like this? There were no terms agreed technically but there is plenty of evidence I won and have tried to keep in touch but 10 weeks later with the excuse it's a delay is a bit much, if a client had actually ordered this prize they wouldnt have waited 10 weeks for it.

    Thanks very much

    In short... Nope

    In long nope

You haven't suffered a loss as a result of entering the comp. So you can review them badly all you want. They don't have to do anything

Is it a real reputable company or someone operating from their garden shed?

Real reputable company with a couple of stores but local to Ireland

You'd have expected them to invent a fictitious 'winner' if they had no intention of honouring the promised prize so it's strange that they're giving you the run around.
