I think any built after mid 03 will have drive by wire throttle but to my knowledge it’s not just plug and play as on some newer Toyotas. You need to get wiring, clutch switch, wheel switch etc. Hardly worth it.
    Might be wrong of course.

Many years ago, I got a universal cruise control kit from an accessory shop and fitted it myself.
The instructions were fairly comprehensive, and I took my time to get it right. Barely took half a day to do, if I remember correctly. Worked well too.
If you can't get an OEM unit fitted because of what colm_mcm reckons, maybe look towards getting a simple kit, and retro-fitting it yourself?

Sorry in advance for hijacking thead.

I've a 2011 2.0 Deisel Avensis 1AD-FTV. Are these doable? If yes, Do you have any recommendations for someone anywhere near Limerick? :o:pac:

What I did to my 2003 landcruiser.. I see no reason why other Toyotas of that age and up to 2010 ish would be any different
