Samsung 'Sync your new album' message

I have a Samsung Galaxy A6 phone, a midpriced model I bought late in 2018. I installed a 32GB microSD card and in the camera settings, I've set the memory card as the location to store new photos and videos. Android version is 8.0.0, Samsung Experience version 9.0

Since about a week ago, every time I take a photo, the phone immediately beeps and I have a message saying that I have created a new album ( I haven't) and that I need to sync it......

    Sync your new album

You've just added a new album to Galaxy. To keep it safe and synced with the cloud, select it as an album to sync.

Any ideas? Photos that get stored on the memory card do not get synced to the Samsung cloud, I can live with this as I have the option to move important files to a new album created in internal memory and they will get synced. So when I take a photo and it goes onto the memory card, the sync (to the Samsung cloud) process should simply ignore it.
