Most shower repair companies send out an electrician & a plumber at the same time to install an electric shower from scratch. It usually takes 2 to three hours from start to finish for the average home. Average price for Dublin at the moment is 700 to 800 supplied & fitted for the average house. This can be higher for more difficult jobs. In some cases you will need to upgrade the electric supply coming into the house, the fusebox might need to be upgraded or the bonding /earth might need upgrading.

It is more expensive to fit a tank fed electric shower that a mains fed shower, however I would never install a mains fed shower. Tank fed showers need a pipe plumed from the tank to the shower and depending on the siting of the tank and the location of the shower this can be either straightforward or very complicated.
Wiring also varies depending on the quality of the electric supply and the length of the run.
