Birds nesting in my roof

Last year I've had birds nest in my evaes and when in the void in my attic space, I found a hole in the old felt.

Now they are back and can hear them either making new nests or picking away at the felt again.

I can easily block the eaves up again however I think I can hear chicks and now I don't want to block up and kill them :(

Anyone know what I could so in this situation!

Wait until the chicks have all fledged - should be 3 weeks or less - and then block it up!

If it is jackdaws, there will be a heap of sticks that would fill a dust bin, may want to remove them, may not though.

Would they still use it's nest even after they leave it for the first time

One nest from last year was very big. Surprised me

I have starlings at the back and house sparrows at the front nesting should i wait a few weeks before blocking up or just leave them alone

Nests are really only used to the point where chicks can fly, so keep a close eye and see when the chicks appear to have gone, then maybe inspect the nest the following day to ensure there's no chicks left, and block up the hole!
